The Kansas City Urban Farm Co-Op (KCUFC), established in 2016, is a locally owned, member-operated economic engine fueled by a sustainable urban agriculture industry.
We have completed Phase 1 of our fruit forest by constructing a 100+ fruit tree orchard. The largest urban orchard in Kansas City. Our fruit orchard includes apples, pears, peaches, bush cherries, blackberries and raspberry plants. We also have raised garden beds for our members to use year-round.
At the KCUFC we host many volunteer days and workshops where we educate our community about self-sustainability through growing organic food and urban farming. We strive to secure food sovereignty in our community and to inspire healthy eating habits. We believe that the most revolutionary action a person can take is to grow their own food.
In addition to providing our community with a place to grow organic food, the KCUFC donates thousands of organic fresh fruits and vegetables every year to the local community. As we continue to grow, we hope to see others inspired to grow with us!
